ubuntu must not like my laptop for some reason...

I just downloaded and used the ubuntu live cd, I can get to orca fine, what I'm having trouble with is when I log back in, it just says, switching to focused view, when it comes to the desktop, and freezes there.

ubuntu is a linux distro, orca is the screen reader within the distro

I got the solution to my problem, apparently I forgot to hit alt plus ctrl plus backspace after I answered yes to the logout question, then logging back in, and yes, ff2 isn't accessible much in ubuntu, from what I've seen
